Information we collect

When you apply for D2C Circle, we ask for your name, email address, mobile number and the city you're based in. Your country is taken from your phone number. You can also add your LinkedIn profile.

To understand where you are today, we ask about your brand or your plans: its name and website, when it started, its revenue range and where it sells, or the category you plan to enter. We also ask what you hope to gain from the cohort and how you heard about us. If you want a GST invoice we collect your GST number, and if you reached us through a partner's link we record its referral code.

When you contact us or download the brochure, we collect your name, email address and mobile number, along with your message. We also record your IP address and browser details, which we use only to block spam and repeated submissions.

Payments are handled by PayU. You enter your card, UPI or bank details on PayU's page, so we never see or store them. We keep only the transaction reference, the amount and whether the payment succeeded.

When you browse the site, Google Tag Manager loads analytics tools that may record the pages you visit, your device and browser, and an approximate location based on your IP address.

How we use your information

We use your details to review your application and decide on your seat, to confirm your email address with a one-time code, and to process your payment and issue receipts and GST invoices. Once you join, we use them to send you what you need for the cohort, such as session schedules, reminders, onboarding material and feedback requests.

We also use your information to answer the questions you send us and to understand how the website is used so we can improve it. We only send newsletters, learning resources or news about other Expertbells programs if you've agreed to receive them.

Cookies and browser storage

The analytics tools loaded through Google Tag Manager use cookies to recognise repeat visits and measure how pages perform. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

We also save two small preferences in your browser: whether you chose the light or dark theme, and, if you arrived through a partner's link, its referral code so it reaches your application.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the people and services that help us run the cohort: the mentors and partners directly involved in delivering D2C Circle, PayU to take payments, Twilio SendGrid to send emails such as one-time codes and confirmations, Google for website analytics, and the cloud providers that host the site and store its data.

We may also share information with authorities when the law requires it.

How we protect it

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. Only our team can see applications and messages, through a sign-in protected by one-time codes.

No way of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct anything that's wrong. You can also ask us to delete your data, unless we must keep it for legal or contractual reasons, such as payment records.

You can stop marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of them. For any other request, email info@expertbells.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, services or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
